K II/3 Prague, 14th October 1944 7 Report Due to a communication received confidentially here in which it was said that the German members of the staff Anna W e i g 1 with the Kajor J u r k in pre-trial detention was in a legitimate exchange of letters, criminal police investigations were initiated.In the course of these investigations, the W e g l was arrested. She said that she had been changing letters with Major J u r k since about the beginning of September. These letters were illegally promoted by Polizeiwachtmeister H a n k e, who is assigned as a prison officer to the SS and police prison in Prague III. K a n k e, whom she had not known until then, had come to her in uniform in early September and had sent her a letter with the words "I bring news of Major J u r k " in which Major J ur k asked her to bring him shoes and give H a n n k.e a bottle of cognac. H a no k e would give Major Ju r k cigarettes for this. In the letter, Major J u r k promised to write her in more detail later. W e i g 1 immediately replied to the letter of Major J ur k and handed over this answer H a n k e for transmission to Major J & r k. Two days later, H a no k e, as previously agreed, had reappeared and had received the bottle of cognac from stocks of Najor J u ro k and a film. Both Kognak and film were not paid by H a n k e. After a few days, H a no k e visited the W e g l again and gave her a letter from Major J u r k, in which the W i g l u.a. was asked to go to Berlin to get a lawyer for Major J ur k and to get cigarettes for him. This letter could be ensured and is located in Hüille Bl. d.A. (I). H a n k e again received a letter from the W e i g l for transmission to Major J u r k. She wants to have dealt with general matters in this letter mur. H a N k e did not receive anything from the We i gl on that day. The W e g l merely wants the request of the H a n k e to get her a room, in such a way that she visited with him the caretaker, so that he frees a room for him. The W i g l i n d that H a no k e received the room later. The same letter (I) was attached to the letter to the parents of Major J u r k, which the W e i g 1 only forwarded to them. However, the arrest of the W i g 1 prevented the transmission.
