Abschr ift. Versuch des Majors der Schutzpolizei und 86 Leiter des Einsatzstabes II Walter J u r k, born 29.4.1904 in Kottbus, residing in Prague XVIII, under Drinopol No.l443. The Einsaetzstabe II was established on the order of the 4 Oberstgruppenführer D a l u e g e in October 1962. I received the order to start immediately, on a National Socialist basis, the construction and provision of apartments for bomb-damaged, evacuated and needy tt and police members. For this purpose, I was provided with the necessary specialists from the ranks of the police. At first I tried to rebuild the locks existing in the Protectorate for these purposes. Because of the great cost and too great material cover, this thought was soon dropped. Since several looo Jewish dwellings were still free in Prague, I began to negotiate with the competent authorities for the release of Jews' dwellings and the furniture and housing facilities in them. An agreement was reached which enabled me to take over both. The apartments were taken up by my staff members and tested for their suitability for my purposes. Some of the furniture was worn out and placed on bars opened by me, while the apartments were renovated. After completion of the renovation, the apartments were fixed and fully furnished, including laundry, dishes and so on and handed over to the officer responsible for the accommodation of bomb victims. The apartment inventory was included in Lister and submitted to the office of the Missionary Staff II. When order was placed, the financial position was considered secondary. It was only a matter of helping the many loðo needy people as quickly as possible without any bureaucratic inhibition on a social basis. Thus, the work was primarily started, while the administration was only built up with the work. The transferred funds were collected by the administration and properly booked. After the first lagers had been created and it became known that the Einsatzstände II was founded to help the needy, I was flooded with many requests for the release of home furnishings from all circles such as Wehrmacht, H, police and civilian audience. I presented the things to the 4Oberstgruppenführer for the decision. However, since the requests were overwhelming, the it-Oberstgruppenführer authorized me to decide for myself to whom I wanted to give objections. However, this authorization was not limited only ./.
