In order to carry out the search, it is essential that the inspections and services provide the forces designated for each operation group and division according to the instructions of the investigating officer. Only the most important and expressly specified operations by the heads of the departments (CP(L)St., KPAbSt.), whose processing does not take any respite, can be carried out. (a) the purpose of the search; (b) the location and area where to punish; (c) the points listed in I 2 c above; (d) the time (time) of termination of the hunt; (e) the meeting place before and after the search. 4. Use of the non-security police bodies. The tasks of the organs which do not belong to the security authority can only be determined on a general basis. The operation in detail depends on the nature of the reason for the prosecution; however, it should be borne in mind that the tasks assigned are always those which correspond most closely to the type of research. In all cases where non-security police bodies are used as closed formations, this operation shall be carried out under your command. Where necessary, advisers may be given. Exceptions to this order shall be granted only in very special cases. The use of non-security police forces (except Wehrmacht and Ordnungspolizei), e.g. urban and Lendwecht, party formations, etc., is to avoid unnecessary costs.
