2 (La, however, their local groups were essentially, according to the personnel composition of the respective local authorities, transferred to the "Národni Matice". As is known from state police statements, in the summer of 1939, confidential circulars told the individual secretariats of the "Národni Matice" to exclude the former exposed officials of "Národní Jednota" from all cooperation. However, as it turned out later, it was not possible to renounce the old forces in the popular work. In a Central Committee meeting of 6.2.194o in Prague, it was therefore decided to camouflage these employees in front of the German authorities. However, in the practical small business this precautionary measure failed, so that the actual heads of the association recognized the character of the organisations. The fact that the "Národni Matice" was only intended to provide a cover for the continuation of the activity of the " Národny Jednota" also became clear from an order from the Brno administration, in which it was said at the time: "The working method of this association is in no case different from the liquidated "Národni Jednota", it sees its single task in keeping and consolidating the Czech positions of the German Iglauer Volksinsel using all means." Therefore, for an action against the "Jednotah" there is no legal responsibility, since the individual local associations have officially entered the "národnie Matice", and practically no longer exist. However, in the course of the paralysis of the Czech folk work proposed by the SD section of Prague in the letter to the Secretary of State dated 24 February 1942 (here GRS B.No. 169/42), it is well known that it is planned to dissolve the "Národni Matice" state police. The corresponding decree was already worked out by the BdS and is likely to be known. - 2 - 2990
