Tsrdninetasbnst The request of the Gauverband Sudetensland of the NsRL. has a certain authority as that of the National Socialist Republic. It is generally known that the Czechization associations in the Sudetenland had established club houses and gymnasiums in many almost purely German places, without the necessary resources being available. The local associations left the central offices in Prague, which have, as a rule, also intervened on a number of occasions with subsidies, and the resources needed for the construction of the buildings were generally largely provided by loans to the Prague banks. Thus, today the strange state emerges that the Gauverband Sudetenland of the NSRL. the debts which the local Sokol clubs in the Sudetenland at that time had to pay back to Czech banks in Prague. I am aware, however, that by the still-hate commissioner in Sudetensland l939 a so-called compensation fund was formed out of the existing cash funds of the dissolved associations, which was endowed with several million Reichsmarks. This fund was to be made available to Mr Gauleiter and Reichsstützer. My trustful investigation into whether funds are still available from this fund has so far not led to any results. I should be informed about this in the next few days and will then report immediately. If funds are still available, the aid for the Turngau Sudetenland would have to be granted from this fund. If there is no more funds available, St.M πA-5±/43
