The evacuation takes place under artillery fire and forces to the greatest haste, so that there is no possibility of loading materials out of people. During the evacuation, which began in the evening of the l.Oct. and continued through the whole seam and on the 2nd oct. Shortly after noon, frictions with German officers and officials who object to the transport room for their private affairs or give senseless instructions to their department are constantly being created. Prof. Beyer leaves all trucks unloaded in Betschkerek as well as at the Tissbrücke - partly under threat of shooting - which do not contain people or goods of war. As a result, the boxes of plums and similar things pile up on the western banks of the river. It is noted in ethnic German circles with bitterness that the fears of the ethnic group have been fulfilled loo%. It is pointed out that the ethnic leader had recently pointed out to Brigade leader Fiedler that in partisan circles the date for the conquest of Betschkerek was indicated October 2nd. On October 2, the red partisans planned "a red day" in Bechkerek. In fact, the "red parade" took place in Betschkerek on the afternoon of October 2. After the evacuation of the town of Bechkerek and the surrounding villages of Kleck and Etschka, the leader of the ethnic group Dr. Janko together with circle leader Lapp and Prof. Beyer made the attempt to come via Neusatz to Pantschewo and Franzfeld. However, there is only a connection to the southern Banat via Bel- grad. Staf. Weigen, who is encountered during the transit in Neusakt, informs that he used Obersturmbannführer Volkenborn in Pantschevo. As a trip across Belgrade to Pantschewo is therefore unnecessary, an attempt is made to land in Franzfeld with Air Force aid. Prof. Beyer negotiates Neusatz at the airfield and achieves that the Air Force takes over the evacuation of the Germans from Franzfeld. However, it is not possible to get the entire population, because during the evacuation efforts of the airfield Franzfeld is occupied by the Red. Verbas is selected as the center for the further measures in the Batschka. In Verbas there are serious conflicts between the command of the VoMi and the so-called leadership staff Fiedler. Occasionally a meeting in Sombor orders Obergruppenführer Lorenz that all services be placed under the command of the VoMi. Brigade leader Fiedler receives the order to execute instructions of the main storm leader Pachschwöhl, the same command receives ethnic group leader Dr. Janko and area leader Spreitzjer. Brigade guide Fieddler explains on it. to leave Verbas and enter the area west of the Danube. There is an even lighter conflict between the ethnic leadership of Serbian Banat and Brigade leader Fiedler, because Brigade leaderFiedler takes a car, which had been made available to him by the ethnic group leadership Banat for evacuation work, to Transdanubia/Evacuation of the luggage of his staff. The conflict between brigade leader Fiedler and VoMi is intensifying because Fieddler refuses to release the gasoline that the Voli have provided him with for the evacuation work.
