After World War II, Fousek remained in military service for a while, then returned to civil life as a farmer in Hostim. His small estate became a model business. Through nine years, he was parish leader in HostIM and worked in peasant organizations. He did not hold any leading political positions. After the establishment of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, he joined the responsible public work and was one of the first members of the preparatory committee of the Czech Association for Cooperation with the Germans. In 1940, the President appointed him chairman of the said association and, on 17 July 1994, head of the Committee of the National Community. 002a0
