III G - Hn./He. Prague, 10 February 1945. Secret! 2 Betr.: Gesellschaftskreis Prof. Egon Josef K o s s u t h, geb. am 15.8.l874 in Troppau, Kunstmaler, Dissident, Widowr, wohnhaft Prag IIf, Malteser Platz 1. The portraitist Professor Egon K os s ut h_ is the renowned fashion painter of the Bohemian Moravian nobility and the first Prague society. A highly developed aspiration for social activity and entertainment made him the touching center of an interesting social salon because of its long-known politically questionable attitude, which includes besides the leaders of the Prague Diplomatic Corps, wide circles of the nobility and exponents of political and economic life. In addition, K. is connected with individuals whose special significance is less in social exclusivity than in extensive, criminal-bound, by Kossuth and his friends nevertheless widely in claim- ible trade relations. To the same extent, Professor Kossuth's artistic clientele, which is mostly part of the Landadel, is also used for the procurement of food and other defective goods. Without excluding from the outset the existence of purely friendly relations, the conspicuously frequent agreement of political opinions and views, the many possibilities available in this circle to arise managed vares, social susceptibility and need for validity, and not least the strong personality of Kossuth, has an effect as a personal and social binding agent. Prof. Kossuth appeared in Prague in April 1940, coming from Berlin. In addition to his brother Camillo K o s s u t h, ( Attachment l ) born on 2l.9.1888, resident of Prague III, Malteser place 1, who was engaged as a Bchau player in Moravian-Ostrau until 1943, was here only a son living in Beflin -2-
