4a - 8 - Then the teacher Ż i d k ý spoke about the battle of production and began his speech with the following words: "Lords, as always, I must speak again today. I will read it to you." ... In Sohlan the assembly went without any enthusiasm, since all the speakers held their lectures with a weak, monotonous voice. (from a report on the action in the area of the Kladno branch.) d... The lectures, which were often read uninterestedly, were received with little approval .... (from a report on the Assembly in the area of the District Authority of Prague-Land-Nord) The inclusion of lectures on the Bolshevism of functionaries of the VAD at the local meetings had not had any major impact after many meetings and had not been uniform in the reception. In places, especially in Moravia, there were sudden "sepidemies" of the persons designated as speakers. Thus, the lecture of the VAD district head Dr. Retzel in Trebitsch on the subject of Bolshevism was the main programme point of the meeting. He was probably accepted with İnteresse, but cool and without inner sympathy. The effect of this speech on a part of the audience is marked by the following statement: "The speech was beautiful and we also agree with the statements, but it doesn't help anything anymore. The events are not going to take place, the district head of the VAD will hang once." In Pilsen, the farmers were disappointed by the failure of the announced lecture on Bolshevism. The expected statements about the Kolchos system had been particularly interesting. In the Bez. Prerau the speakers of the functionaries of the association made available by the VAD were often rejected. The functionaries did not want to give the impression that the inclusion of political processes would proceed from them. In Kojditz Bez. Trebitsch, the chief teacher Frant. B o u d ar refused to give the lecture on Bolshevism on the grounds that his wife was ill. In his place, a buckly parish poor resident in the town hall should speak. C 64767 A
