-5- E see. 2 Effects. The propaganda action to carry out a food battle was not accepted, according to agreement from all areas about cancellations of Czech farmers of local reports, but with indifference, reluctance and often rejection. The reasons for this were the general political situation, which had been particularly noticeable in the Moravian regions, the insufficient preparation and implementation of the events and, last but not least, the lack of consideration of questions of concern to farmers. However, most of the questions for delivery that were being dealt with had been discussed on the basis of press releases about Minister Hruby's speech and, to a lesser extent, as the impact of local meetings, strongly in the circles of the Czech farmers and beyond. According to reports from all, but especially the Moravian regions, the course and outcome of the whole of the actions had been largely determined by the impact of the political and military situation on Czech farmers. According to the findings of association officials, this had become apparent from the outset in the openly shown displeasure of farmers to participate in the events and in the small 0.0 visitor numbers. Thus, Czech farmers in the area of M.-Ostrava repeatedly declared that they also now have no time to attend meetings in winter. A large number of farmers in Pfalzendorf /Bez. Wal.Meseritsch apologized, for example, that they had to have their grain ground in the mill. According to the findings of a German farmer, the miller in question could not accept any grain for milling on that day at all. There were also farmers in individual places who tried to prevent other farmers from attending the Association's meeting with all the members. On the other hand, various meetings were held at which only about 5-10 farmers appeared, since the other farmers had no knowledge of the holding of a meeting in their place. (M.Ostrau) In various meetings in the area of M.-Ostrava, the farmers seemed to be in large numbers to the rallies, D entered the list of presences and went back home. A farmer in Moravia said: "The association should rather let the gatherings be. It is a pity for the time and the soles of our shoes that we have to waste here; or else the lords of the association themselves should go to the assemblies and give a good example of how everything should be done."
