THE CHAIRMAN OF THE WAFFEN-SS BÖHmen AND MÄHREN Prague, 25 May 1944. Nürnberger Straße 27 41 To the Higher SS and Police Leaders in Bohemia and Moravia SS-Obergruppenführer Frank, Prague IV Czernin-Palais. After inspection of the files of the case Becker (letter of the Gauleiter Henlein of 22 October 1943 to the Reichsführers-SS) I take position as follows: I am an old SA-man and have known the SA-Obersturmbannführer Becker for many years, among other things from the vicinity of the chief of staff, later from the standard "Feldherrnhalle". There could be no concern for me to accept an invitation from this old comrade and honorary winner of the NSDAP. I have been a guest in his house three times, twice to larger circles, once to smaller circles. I made the following statements, which I remember exactly: 1.) I did not find unwanted guests (Czechs or unknown businessmen) there. There were only personalities who had already been known to me and respected in every respect. 2.) A special luxury has never been driven during my presence. There were game every time, which was easy to have for a hunting owner in winter. Drinks corresponded to what was then available in the trade. A "drinking" never took place in my present. Service was done by waiters of a Prague company. Once, in a smaller circle, Mrs. Becker took and ordered the food herself from the kitchen, so that I did not see his own staff of the Becker family at all. 3.) I left each time at the same time with the majority of the guests around midnight.
