English Translation

- 3 - 36 On 3.7.1942, Director Vorbach of the Directorate General of the PEIG Director G. in Königshof informed by telephone that Š. was set free again on orders of group leader Frank. The German population of Königs Hof as well as a large part of the Czechs, especially the workers, at Š. is very unpopular, was very bitter about this release, which was expressed in statements by both German and Czech circles. They claim that "group leader Frank would not have done this under any circumstances if he had not been completely misinformed about Š. by the Directorate General of PEIG." The current behaviour of Director Š. is extremely reserved. Due to his overall attitude, Š. can still be regarded as an extremely chauvinistic and anti-German Czech, if this does not appear so much to the outside world today.
