In the last few months before the decree was issued, I have held the following meetings with staff or senior officials of the Reich Ministry of Education in Prague: 1) In May, on my initiative, Ministerial Councillor Dr. Mül e r appeared to negotiate the establishment of a vocational pedagogical institute (central training centre for vocational school teachers) in Prague. The Institute will also have significance for the neighbouring Gaue if its construction can be carried out despite the war-related difficulties. 2) In June ministerial conductor Sc h m i d t- Bodenstedt and higher school councillor H o l o u b e k visited me. They visited various teacher training institutions of the Protectorate, in which pupils from neighbouring Gauen are accommodated. Here, the question of the recognition of the rights acquired here for the entire Reich area was positively clarified. 3) On 7 and 8 July, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Federal Republic of Germany took part in the conference. In July, Ministerial Councillor Dr. Z i e r o 1 d, the speaker for school and teaching film at the Reichslehrungsministerium and head of the Reichstelle für Schul- und Unterrichtsfilm in Berlin, visited me. Issues of collaboration between the Landesbildstellen Prag and Brünn with the Reich Institute in Berlin and the supply of the Landes Bildstellen with educational films were discussed.
