The studies covered the individual types of crafts, trade=, insurance= and industrial branches. The studies on mining production were completed during the period under review and announced to the competent services for internal use. In detail, production in mining, with the exception of iron= and manganese ore, continued to increase in the previous year. The production figures are the highest achieved in the period from lgl9 to 1942. In the case of coke, however, the increase to more than 4 % of coal briquettes is to be increased to over 4 %. In the raw graphite sector, the quantity of crude graphite produced by the process has more than doubled from 5 000 tonnes to 5 000 t, compared with 1942, and the total gross value of mining production has increased considerably. Production per worker in the main branches of mining fell by a little more than 5 % for the known reasons (numerous miners, etc.) in l943 versus l942 for coal, about 1 % for pig iron ore, and only slightly less for lignite (-1 %). According to the partial results of the half-yearly statistics of savings deposits, 1944 is expected to increase further the savings deposits in the amount of at least 12 billion K, or about 20 % of the national income. Thus, the saving rate has reached a considerable amount.
