- 7 - Anlg.8-a Ann.8 -b Ann.8.c Appendix 8-a contains the lecture series; Annex 8-b contains the speech of the Reich Minister Funk, Annex 8 -c that of the Deputy Reichsproektor. The speech of Reichsleiter v.Schirach contains an account of the activities of the South-East European society, for which a precise text was not yet available when the situation report was drawn up. Appendix 8-d contains a number of pictures, the meaning of which is noted on the back. I refer in particular to picture 10, on which Hácha and the Czech government show the German greetings at the Sieg-Heil on the Führer. Before the invitation to Hácha, I had announced that I would take for granted the lifting of my arms at the Sieg-Heil on the Führer, after the Protectorate belonged to the German Reich and the leader was thus also the leader of the Protectorates. Confidential explorations then revealed that the chairman of the Czech government and his government members had practiced the German Gruss before. 10.) Due to its form and content, the Economic Conference took possession of Prague as a German city not only as a matter of course, but also as an expression of the German strength and economic strength - which was expressed in particular by the fundamental statements of the Minister for Economic Affairs - and was externally, especially to the English and Czech emigrations, a determination and compromise of the Czech government. Of course, the impression of this meeting, which was not to be misunderstood by the Czechs, was used in the same day in meetings with Hácha and his ministers for the fundamental changes in organisation and personnel.
