The compensation allowance only allows for the return of further German forces, which come from the Bohemian-Mauritian region, and to gain new forces for the work in this area. This removes an essential obstacle to the strengthening of the German element in the otherwise Czech autonomous administration. The German school system is making progress. New schools are being opened on a running basis. The children of the scattered Germans are housed in school homes in order to ensure a German education for them. Although I have already paid special attention to the promotion of the German school, I am aware that there is still a lot of work to be done in the Protectorate until the final expansion of German schooling and that the use of very substantial resources of the Reich in this area will be necessary. After lengthy negotiations with the Minister of Finance, the regulation of the Reich on marital loans and current child allowances could also be extended to German nationals in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. This seems to me to be a measure of great importance in the field of national politics. The Protectorate government presented me with a draft regulation on marital status loans and support for families with children, which was tailored exclusively to the Czech people.
