After lengthy negotiations, President Dr. Hácha has appointed a new 64-member committee of the "National Community". The Committee has replaced an earlier committee burdened by various anti-rich and anti-German incidents President Hácha has given the new committee the task of being mediators between itself and the protectorate government on the one hand and the Czech public on the other, thereby contributing to the re-education of the Czech people. The extent to which the Committee fulfils this task still needs to be awaited with regard to the bad experiences so far with the National Community. In the general administration of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, work of great political importance has continued in various areas.
