I. General. 08429 1. The territory of the city of Prague covered 2099 hectares in 1921. At the beginning of 1922 37 neighbouring municipalities were taken over, which increased the city area to 17 204 hectares. The increase in the area was, according to an integrative action, 720 % of the previous population. The population was 24l 888 before this integration and after it 676 657. In the following years there was a strong influx of people. In the year 193o the total population was already 848 823 inhabitants and after the continuation of the 1st January 194o - 1 021 750 inhabitants. According to the general population a strong construction activity developed here. The number of non-residential buildings increased from 19044 in 192l to 4o 462 in 194o. In the same period, the number of dwellings increased from l6l 732 to 307 390. However, Dss did not happen, but was content with mechanical solutions.
