The housing of the homeless did not give rise to any difficulties; the two collection points of the affected districts were operational one hour after the alarming of the designated staff; likewise, three emergency shelters were immediately set up with catering facilities, with a total capacity of goo persons. One of these accommodations, since it was not needed for bomb victims, was used to accommodate .the Prague repair readiness 2/5 and the Prague fire-fighting train 1/l in the total strength of l9o man. The bomb-hated population was provided with instructions regarding emergency shelters and catering by the local radio. Information signs were brought to the damage sites by messengers. However, this happened much later than intended, also insufficient information signs were prepared. It was instructed to immediately drop this damage, since normally it must be expected that the local radio station will fail at all. In the first hours after the air raid, only 57 people registered as injured in the collection points; on 26.8.1944 in the evening, 452 of them were counted, but only some of them had been totally injured.
