Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia: right tool of Nazi expansion
English Translation
The German legislation in force in the Protectorate was published in the daily press (in the newspaper Der Neue Tag), by public posting or radio. The publication of the laws of the empire for the protectorate in the Reichské list regulated § 2 of the decree of Reich Minister of the Interior of 3. April 1939 on the legislation of the Reich for the territory of the Protectorate (159), according to which the scope of the official sheets in which the decrees of the Empire are published was applied, as well as for the territories of the protectorate. (Reichsgesetzblatt-RGBl) and, less often, Deutscher Reichsanzeiger und Preussischer Staatsnzeiger (having the character of an official newspaper) and the Reich's Ministerial Gazette. According to Section 1 of the judgment of 3 April 1939, legislation for the territory of the Protectorate was applied only if it was based on their content or if they so expressly stated. In addition, there was, as already mentioned above, a special official document for declaring the imperial standards applicable to the Protectorate. It was established already on 15 March 1939 by decree of the chief commander of the German army with the designation of the Bulletin for Bohemia and Moravia (Verordnungsblatt fur Böhmen und Mähren- VoBlBM). The Journal was intended for the declaration of laws and regulations of a general kind, issued in territories built under the protection of German military power. This journal was left in force as an official sheet under Section 2 (2) of the Decree of 3 April 1939 on the legislation of the Reich for the territory of the Protectorate under the name of the Collection of Regulations for Bohemia and Moravia. (160) The regulation of the leader and the Reich Chancellor of 7 June 1939 on the right to issue legislation in the Protectorate (161) then stipulated that the legislation of the Imperial Protector, the police regulation and the determination of the protector, which is contrary to the law of the Reim, are declared in the Collection of Regulations for Bohemia and Moravia. Since the sixth issue, the Collection has been renamed the Reich Protector's Order for Bohemia and Moravia (1939-1943) (Verordungsbaltt des Reichsprotektors in Böhmen und Mähren - VoBlRP). From 1943 to 1945 the decree of the German State Minister for Bohemia and Moravia (Verordungsbalt des deutschen Staatsministers - VoBlstM) was published in this journal.
