115 doctors in the empire were resisting in the ranks of the Czech population as well as protectorate companies that lost their racing doctors. At the same time, a lack of Czech medical puppy caused by the closure of universities in the autumn of 1939 and by the fact that German doctors working in the Protectorate were called to military service as their imperial colleagues. The lack of medical staff thus began to feel even the biggest arms races, such as Vítkovický železárny. The Reich Protector promised in the summer of 1943 restrictions on the calling of protectorate doctors into the empire, however, this practice continued afterwards. Czech doctors worked in the Empire under similar legal conditions as their countrymen in industry. Their particular position was largely dependent on the place of deployment, qualification, age, actual activities and behaviour of German colleagues. Although they had a similar education to German doctors, they were generally subject to them, e.g. as assistants. However, Czech doctors were not supposed to pay attention to their compatriots or other foreign workers, because they were concerned that they might have more understanding of their health problems and expose them to work incompetents. (308) In May 1940, there was a campaign against investment works in construction. During the summer months the draft commission attacked public buildings and the workers there employed were sent directly from the construction to work to Germany. (309) "According to this, the recruitment became more and more forced work in disguised form. 2.3.2.2 Involuntary labour recruitment-forced work The Labour Offices had an irreplaceable contribution to the organisation of the forced labour system in the Protectorate, which represented the concentration and monopolization of labour mediation and were preparing for the establishment of a forced labour regime.
