To the Under Secretary of State
Home Office

Date 2nd April 1955

My Wife and the applicant's Mother, Countess Czernin, were girlhood friends in Prague where my late Father-in-law was British Consul.

When the Czernin family came to England after the late war the Countess got in touch with my Wife and I thus became acquainted with the applicant.

Since then I have met him socially and have also transacted legal business for him and for his Mother and sister.

I have formed the opinion that he is in every way a suitable person to be granted British nationality,
