acquaintance with the applicant, parents e.g. is his knowledge derived  
from the exchange of social  
visits, business relations,  
casual meetings, or otherwise?  
States first met applicant and his  
parents whilst Sir Philip Nichols was  
Ambassador in Prague in 1945. Applicant  
subsequently came to England and his  
family and that of Sir Philip have  
since exchanged social visits. Has  
personal acquaintance with applicant who  
he regards as refugee from Communism and  
is prepared to vouch for him in every way.
