The legionaries are therefore removed from all responsible positions. In particular, not a single legionaire is employed in the Ministry of Transport and Technology (Post-Administration). IV. Promotion of loyal Czechs As a result of the relaxation of the support barrier existing for protectorate staff, Czech staff of the Protectorate Post were supported with effect from 1.4.4l l13. The condition for the support was that these forces had mastered the German language and had proved themselves both technically and politically since the establishment of the protectorate. The promotion of an additional 1/2 % of the total number of staff in the Protectorate's post, i.e. 172 staff, is still under consideration. About 200 Czech staff who had completed the necessary candidates for their class were appointed as officials. In the case of the Czech forces seconded to the Reich, special support measures have been provided for insofar as they have proved themselves in the Reich's service for a long time. As far as German staff were not available for filling the important posts, loyal Czech staff who had previously been checked for security had to be used.
