This appointment is both a worthy honour and a new responsible task. The establishment of an office of the Imperial Protector will probably be begun in the next few days. I now believe that people who know the country, people, language and law of the Protectorate and have political practice are considered first and foremost. All this is given in my personal opinion, as I can say with a good conscience. I quote briefly that I studied in Prague, in Brno, Znaim and Slovakia actively and served on weapons exercises among Czechs, most recently as a lieutenant, so that I also completed the Czech officer's school with "good" success. In Iglau I learned Czech plaid in a lawyer's office with half Czech clientele in court.
