Copy. 78 The police director Moravian Ostrau, the 4.lo.194o. Number : Pr. 1949/40. Subject : Counterfeiting of census sheets. Reference : Without. The Oberlandrat in Moravian O s t r a u. Finally a concrete case came to me, which proves that in the census carried out in l93o, whole census sheets were forged to the detriment of the Germans. "The official F_iedrich Kleiber asked the statistical office in Prague to confirm that he was known as a German during the census in l93o. This request could not be complied with, since he was listed as Czech with his whole family in a census sheet. However, since he asserted with all certainty that the counting sheet had been filled in German and that he had known himself as a German, the matter was sent to me for the survey. It was found that the inscription on the count sheet of the Kleiber did not originate from him and that the count sheets were made as a census commissary by the clerk Alfons Kahanek, Moravian Ostrau, Scheuergasse Noö2o. Since it was not concluded that the counting sheet had perhaps filled in the kleiber's wife, this was heard in this regard. After examining the count sheet, the wife of the Kleiber, Pauline née Ripper, made the most determined attempt to have filled it out or signed it.She pointed out further incorrect entries that her husband Friedrich Kleiber was not born in M.-Weisskirchen, but in Bölten, Kreis Neutitschein, that all members of the family are of Roman faith and not, as is stated in the count sheets, Czecho-Slovak.Furthermore, her son is not Franz, but Helmuth, her daughter is not Angela, but Liselotte. These false entries prove that the count sheet was forged by a third person and only Kahanek is eligible. However, since this is a political matter requiring clarification by German authorities, I have sent the file to the local secret state police.
