Please give the following business sign and date in reply. Eing.: 2 5.FEB. 1941 Tgb. No.: (a) the office of Mr Reichsprotektor (b) the Office of the Secretary of State, (m2) the Office the Under-State Secretary, (d) the Central Administration. Subject: Allocation of Jewish dwellings. $.e.d. /2% In the course of the implementation of the decree of the Reichspretektor in Bohemia and Moravia on the rental of Jewish flats of 7. October 1940 I may report that in Prague the Central Office for Jewish Emigration of the Dept. Z 5oo apartments, the housing officer of the district administration 85o apartments have been reported as available. Of this so far came to forgiveness a) by the central administration 270, b) through the district management 33o apartments. The acquittal action is continued. Only the provision of larger housing (four rooms) is difficult, since the number of these apartments is not in itself significantly large. In Brno, such an action under the direction of the Central Office for Jewish Emigration is also successfully under way. However, there is still a much greater need for a Jewish housing estate that has already been severely reduced. In the other major cities of the Protectorate, the resettlement action, following the establishment of uniform guidelines, takes place in a meeting of the officers of the Oberlandrats with the commander of the security police under the direction of the Upper Land Councils. The Jewish living space in these cities is sufficient for the accommodation of the residents.
