IV - 7 V People's work: The strengthening of German folklore in political and cultural terms is the most important task of our mission in the Protectorate. In the first half of the year, good results were achieved in this area, with the first link with the German population due to the marches and Sunday migrations to the German or partly German villages of the surrounding areas. The organisation of morning celebrations, sports competitions and peier= hours on the occasion of national ceremony and commemoration, much= often also together with our working maids, contributed significantly to the strengthening of the self-confidence of the scattered German population and anchored above all in the prestige of the Reichsarbeitsdienst in their hearts. In this direction, the popular activities of the group K 39o in Bud=weis and surroundings were particularly successful in the period from 15 to 21 June. The bond of trust between the German population and the Reichsarbeitsdienst has been established. One of the main tasks will be to make the recorded connection even stronger. VI. Propaganda: The need for a suitable and good propaganda was recognized from the beginning. The experience gained showed that especially the popular Germans of the Protectorate had to be informed about the meaning and goals of the Reichsarbeitsdienst, but also some local leading tunnels. Through close cooperation with the German press - participation in all events of the Reichsarbeitsdienst and handing over of provocative articles for pre-publication - this effort was tried to do justice.
