It - ll - did everything to achieve a reduction. Cultural sites are located in Pilsen: a museum with the best collection of weapons of the Protectorate, with a rich collection of costumes, further urban libraries and reading halls, which during the Republic almost exclusively led Jewish-Marxist works, the Municipal Theatre, which formerly represented a domain of communists, after the establishment of the protectorate of Benesh followers. In general, during the last year, many Marxist cultural centres were transformed into national cultural centres, according to the communist "avant-garde collective" into a "theatre of boys". Other Marxist cultural sites were preserved at all, such as the Hus People's University, the Workers' Academy, the Association of Workers' Theatre Associations, etc. The literature was already largely influenced during the Republic by the Literary-Artistic Club (LuK), which was not exclusively social-democratic, but also Czech-socialist and national-democratic. Today it is almost identical with the NG. In the musical field, the singing associations were oriented according to the political parties, the Pilsner Philhar monie, which celebrated its 2o-year existence this year. is conducted by the Freemason G s e l h o f e r. All these cultural institutions today are largely influenced by the National Community. The cultural and social life in Pilsen was always limited only to certain circles. An important position is also taken by the body-education associations. Already in 1986 the first Sokolverein was founded, while the Czech Workers' Gymnastics Association (DTJ) did not gain much ground before the World War. Sokol members also represented the first soldiers of the young Czechoslovak army. Then, however, the DrJ experienced a powerful upswing, without however reaching the number of members of the Sokol, as not only Czech socialists, but also supporters of other parties entered them. After the establishment of the Protectorate, the DTJ declined strongly and was united with it in favour of the Sokol in some local groups of the Pilsner area. The "Orel" vegetated always mur in Pilsen.
