- 3 - protector also finally decides on the reduction of the allowances in cases where the conditions under which a criminal proceedings can be initiated against an official of the Reich are met; In the case of workers who are not covered by this regulation, an appropriate supplement to the previous remunerations will be granted. Following the agreement in principle with the Minister for Finance, it was immediately agreed that such a supplement would be necessary for the practical implementation of the scheme. In the first place, the Prime Minister initiated the filling out of a staff questionnaire of all the German protectorate staff in question, and then evaluated the incoming sheets in terms of staff and salary and based on the following principles: The amount of the allowance is calculated. In spite of this, the further increase in the number of German officials and employees, as well as the promotion of Germans already working in the Protectorate Service, was continued. Thus, in the autonomous financial administration several reinstatements of Sudeten German financial officials and transports could be achieved. In the protectorate railways, l9o Bedinstete of the former Czechoslovak state railways, which had been transferred in October l938 after the resigned territories, returned so far, and in the German settlement area of Iglau, a whole number of people's German workers were accommodated. The ongoing cases concerning reactivations, the return of German civil servants to the post office of the Protectorate and the transfer of civil servants from the neighbouring Reichspostdirektion districts to the services of the Deutsche Reichs Post in the Protectorates are being continuously discussed.
