eratowitz Ministerial Councillor Dr. Heckel Prague, 5 March 1943. U r s c h r i f t l i c h after taking note a) Secretary of State b) Major General Reinefarth Slol. : The opinion of Obersturmbannführer Fischer contains the results of our cooperation on this matter. I would like to comment on the following: 1) Experience has shown that the resettlement schools have proved their worth. The reasons given by Obersturmbannführer Fischer for the creation of such schools have determined the school department of the Reich Protector and the Ministry of Vision to create such schools in spite of the lack of teachers, if at least lo - 15 children are present and the need was in concrete case to be aged. For some time now, in view of the lack of teachers, I have been giving the following slogans for our work: the training of children who are only clearly understood - and to this end the children of the resettlement - is always urgent and must be guaranteed even in the times of the greatest shortage of teachers. On the other hand, we must now be extremely cautious about children from the unstable people and mixed marriages, because we cannot be held responsible for harming our German children in favour of such children's floating peoples, but their value always remains problematic. 2) The use of war-injured teachers has been carried out since December 1942 in cooperation with the Wehrmacht authorised representative. In addition, with Lieutenant-General Toussaint, I have stated that other teachers who are in the Wehrmacht units and do not perform active military service but are in writing or who can be temporarily on leave are also provided for school purposes. 3) Improving the equipment of the homes at work School administration NO-212/43
