99 The Imperial Protector Prague, 23 May 1941. in Bohemia and Moravia IV Rf 6099 In connection with the decree of 1 September 1939 (RGBl.I, p. l683) issued by the Council of Ministers for the Defence of the Reich, I would once again expressly draw attention to the fact that listening to foreign radio stations is prohibited and that contraventions in accordance with § 1 of this decree with penitentiary are prohibited. According to § 2 o.a.O., prison, in particularly serious cases, is punished with death, who directs foreign channels, which are capable of endangering the resistance of the German people, is intentionally distributed. However, the above provisions do not apply to acts carried out in the exercise of service. A certain group of persons is therefore entitled to deal with the interception of foreign radio stations or other foreign means of communication on a commercial basis, according to § 6 a.a.0. in conjunction with §§ 1 and 2 of the Ordinance on the Construction of the Administration and the German Security Police in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia of 1. (i) the right to interrogate foreign radio stations and other foreign means of communication with the prohibition of retransmission shall be limited to certain persons who do so in the performance of their duties and who are in possession of a corresponding letter of permission. This letter of permission must contain precise details of the type and scope of the wiretapping order. 2. Insofar as these are members of the authority of the Reich Protector in Bohemia and Moravia, the letters of permission shall bear the signature of the State Secretary. 2
