Lano muft 86 QUID Abt. -1F- Settlement Reichenberg, the 28.2.1942. A k t e n v er m e r k Subject: Request of the Land Office of Prague against land reform- operated in the Sudetenland. Occasionally a discussion between Mr. State Secretary SS. Group leader K.H.Frank and the Land farmer leader Sudetens-land Dipl.Ing. Rashka of 26.2.42, the Landbauernführer asked for a fundamental clarification under reference to the ongoing reminders of the Land Office and the resulting concern of the settlement tenants. The land reform enterprises in the Sudetenland, which were leased to Neubauernschein owner, mostly owe the Landamt in Prague larger amounts, which mainly from the colonisation fund s.zt. These claims are highly dubious, as the colonists are largely over-indebted. Whether they were real loans or subsidies in the form of loans, can no longer be ascertained today. In any case, a responsible leadership to this extent could not have given loans. Neither the settlement societies nor the settlement tenants have funds at their disposal to pay the due instalments to the Land Office, apart from the fact that the debt-debt and the debt of the owners are currently difficult to clarify. The Landbauernführer proposed the following solution to the Secretary of State: The Land Office's claims to the owners of Czech land reform plants in the Sudetenland remain unreserved until a final clarification of this question is reached. The compensation of interest will be suspended by the Land Office from October l938, even though the non-payment of the instalments due will not result in an increase in the debt obligations. The Secretary of State has agreed to examine this proposal and, in principle, to agree to this solution during the discussion.
