In the selection of these industrials, of course, their economic ability, their political attitude and their financial capacity will be taken into consideration. In this respect, concrete considerations have already been made by me. The Prague-based Neusiedlers used to belong to the Petschek Group with the Prague Elbe=mühl and the Gellert & Co. Company. The merger of these three companies was economically gesichted to be quite a unit. It is therefore necessary to consider whether, in the course of the dejudgment of the Prague Neusied=ler, it is not also necessary to proceed with the Prague Elbemühl and Gellert & Co. in the same sense. These considerations should take account of the applicants already registered for the Elbemuhl and Gel=lert. My proposal to involve middle and smaller sudetenGerman Jn= dustrial in the dejudgment is, as I have already noted, justified by the fact that a number of sude= tenGerman enterprises after the war for reasons of necessary rationalization and production planning probably cannot maintain their existence. Since the managers of these enterprises should be guaranteed a basis of existence as a result of their professional competence and their personal relationship, the proposed solution has been considered on my part.
