English Translation

61 - 13 - The difficulties of our exports to Hungary in recent years have been due to the low Hungarian import quotas, but mainly to the introduction of clearing, where, when the clearing process was strictly handled by Hungary, the exchange of goods at the rate of the previous disponibility was throttled. In this procedure, the disponibilities necessary for our export were not only made up of imports of Hungarian goods already paid for in the clearing process, but also from the Hungarian export operations envisaged in the former Czechoslovakia. This resulted in a much more elastic export possibility to Hungary, which proved itself particularly in the business with Sais•nwaren. The trade relations of the Protectorate with Hungary were regulated in the Rahmon of the new German-Hungarian contract (from l.8.1940 to 3l.7.l94ld).
