59 - ll - Hungary. On 15 December 193o, the trade agreement between the former Austrians and Hungarians was terminated and thus created between the two countries, which lasted almost five years. During this time, the exchange of goods was regulated by smaller provisional compensation and continuation agreements, but it could not be avoided that Hungary gradually moved independently from the Austrian industry through its own industrialization. Exports to Hungary, which in normal times reached up to 1.5 billion tonnes per year and still accounted for about 1 billion tonnes in 1993, fell in later years to a fraction of previous exports. At the same time as the trade relations were modified, the structure of the Varenaustaudches between the ÖsR and the Ungegen, while in previous years, in our exports to Hungary, on average, about two thirds of the total was made up of finished industrial products and about one third of raw materials and semi-finished products, the ratio has changed fundamentally over the last few years, with on average 75 % in our export to Hungary for raw materials, and only more than 2 % for finished industrial goods. Imports into Hungary from the former ČsR shows the following picture in the year 1 929: Raw materials . . . ........ 28.1% Iron and mechanical equipment . .. . . 37.9% Textiles and textile products . ......... 8.7% Paper and textile articles . . · · · . 6.4% Glass and glassware . . .... 3.5% Ceramics. . ·· · · 2.4% Leather and footwear 2.1%
