English Translation
The President Berlin W9, 22 September 1943 of the Voiksgerichtshof Bellevuestrasse 15 Telex: 21 8341 S 27.SER1943 Obergruppenführer! Dear Minister of State! Our work as judges of the People's Court is increasing with the duration of the war. And they are now even more important than until now. Unfortunately, however, it is becoming increasingly difficult to use as necessary for the meetings of the People's Court in Berlin as well as for voluntary judges outside. This is due, among other things, above all, to the fact that almost all volunteer judges are only available to the Peoples' Court in addition to their other work which is also important for the war. That the honorary judges of the Volksgerichtshof perform important work in party, state and Wehrmacht also outside the Volkshof is a great relief for our work. This is a very important contribution to the fact that the discerning senate of the People's Court always has a great deal of experience in dealing with the current problems of our political life. The present situation must, however, call upon me to make the urgent request that I address to all my honorary fellow judges to make time available for the work of the People's Court, in spite of and in addition to their other burdens. I believe that each of us can have the satisfaction of doing the work entrusted to us by the Führer. Your very devoted is tirms Dogang 86 96 126 PMLMWIS
