55 Copy. 4- Hospital Prague Prague, 9 July 1940. Administration Az. 51 e G. 7.40 Betr.: Payment of a rent for the 4- Hospital. Reference: long distance call between f1-Stubaf. Gieß and -Ustuf. Gäbl. Anlg.: none. To the office of the Imperial Protector in Bohemia and Moravia Prague IV. In mid-November and mid-December l939 were confiscated by the Reichsprotektor's department for the construction of a 4 hospital in the building complex of the General Hospital Prague. To date, construction and improvements (telephone, light-signalling, etc.) have been carried out by the directorate of the General Hospital at the request of the 4 hospital in the buildings used by them, in the value of approximately RM 6o.ooo. In addition, the hospital still bears the running costs of heating, electricity, gas and water. These expenses cannot be covered by the 4 hospital without agreement, since it is not possible to completely separate the facilities from the hospital. The directorate of the hospital has now several times requested to make a contractual arrangement for a monthly payment for the use of the buildings with medical expenses. The hospital particularly hopes that it will have losses of revenue due to the establishment of the hospital, as the number of beds confiscated will be eliminated for the reception of the sick. Before a corresponding application from the hospital is passed on to Berlin for processing, it is requested to inform whether the seizure at that time excludes the payment of compensation for the use of the facilities and the running costs - perhaps in accordance with the Reichsleistungsgesetz (Reichsleitungsgesetz). Gäb l Round seal: 4-Untersturmführer 44-Lazarett Prague Administration.
