13 Prague, November 3, 1939. fi/n$ Confidential! Vy. With 4 attachments $.d. d. submitted to the Under-Secretary of State L1012.39. The Secretary of State asks you to take note of the contents of the annexes. In this regard, the Secretary of state considers that neither Mr. Kreisleiter Höss nor Mr. v. Rumohr will report anything new on the relevant matter. The election had fallen on Vice-President B i n e r t precisely because he was currently a docile instrument in our hands and showed himself to be willing to do so in accordance with his duties. If President Bienert had even given the slightest objection to his position, his dismissal would be feasible at any time. Concerning the suggestion by Mr Kreisleiter Höss that the party should be heard in the case of appointments, it must be clear that it could only be a wish. However, he (the State Secretary) considered that this wish should be met as far as possible. 3.12.39. W gmk mu rough A may fac tnis mlna.
