H.3 41 The same head of the Centrocooperative and the Central Association of Agricultural Cooperatives, whom B e r a n sent to Goslar for the farmers' meeting in November l938, occasionally represented the "practical cooperation of Slavic countries in the field of agriculture" at the General Assembly of the Slavic Institute in Prague on 24 May l938. " Following preliminary remarks on the role of agriculture in the Slavic peoples, he recalled that the Chechnya agricultural cooperative system had already been at the forefront of development in the former Oesterreich-Hungary and that its representatives had already referred to the representatives of the Polish, Slovenian and Croatian genoese communities at that time. Only the Wiedet@flang of its own state, however, had made it possible to create its own Reichszentrale for all agricultural associations and to enter into practical relations with the cooperative system of foreign countries, in particular the Slavic one."
