January 1942 - No.l4/42 D.Kult.ll No.1 - I send a copy of a "recording" on the proposals of the Italian Government for the reorganization of cultural relations between the Protectorate and the Kingdom of Italy. The Federal Foreign Office intends to accept the proposals, but for the time being the following questions have to be clarified: on point l.): it will be necessary to determine whether the Italian authorities' proposed restriction of admission to the Cultural Institute relates to membership or also to courses, lectures and other events provided by the Institute. on point 3.): I would prefer the dissolution of the Czech-Italian League by the authorities. I therefore intend to ask the Federal Foreign Office to instruct the Consul General of Italy to propose the dissolution to the League by a date to be determined. to point 4.): The first paragraph, in conjunction with the final paragraph of the second paragraph, entitles the members of the protectorate not only to be excluded from membership of the committees, but also from membership. As regards the second paragraph, it should be noted that the chairman of the company, who, however, was also responsible for the administration of the museum of the Italian patriots on the Spielberg in Brno, previously received a remuneration from protectorate funds. I presume that the Italian professor appointed as Commissioner will in no way burden the budget of the Protectorate in any way from the title of his work in the company.
