17.5.41 St.S.IV B-79/41 JC has Kowtuid 2 2a4 rut. Rey. Memorial Protocol. .I4 13.1. 1946 Subject: Conversation Reichsprotector - Ježek on 10.10.1941, 5:45 p.m. Minister JežEK was appointed. Obergruppenführer Heydrich received Minister JeŽek in my presence and informed him of the following: 1.) In order to combat the trade and price competition, Minister Ježek, as Minister of the Arts and Chief of the Czech Exactives, receives all the powers to monitor and control the implementation of the orders of the Reichsprotektor in the area of trade and pricing control. He thus has the right to intervene in this area also in the agenda of the autonomous Ministry of Agriculture and Trade and the Supreme Prize Authority and to make binding police regulations to these bodies. The agreement with the BdS must be established constantly. 2.) Minister Ježek is mandated to immediately carry out with his executive apparatus the control and termination of the forthcoming sabotage acts, especially with the B.M.B. and in this sector especially the brake hose cutting, due to his own well-functioning intelligence service. The Obergruppenführer expects Minister Ježek to be able to accept a full success of the measures to be taken in 14 days to 3 weeks. Minister Jezek took note of the two orders, but asked him to express what he was allowed to do by the Obergrup- pen- führer. On point 1, Ježek tries to point out the great difficulties in carrying out the controls (competence of the equal authorities, legislative bodies) and, at the same time, to indicate the lack of food and care in the Protectorate.
