English Translation
II. Question of the interned persons. The Reich Security Authorities have taken a number of Czech persons into protective custody. They are already several groups of such persons: a/ The ia September 1939 Secured. b/ The students. c/ The persons who were secured in connection with the exception in years l94l. d/ The Socolfunctionaries, whose assurance was made in connection with the dissolution of the "Sokol". I cannot and do not want to put myself in these security arrangements and only to ask gestattaair to mitigate the lot of the mentioned reersons as far as possible. I understand from the petitions of the family members that there have been numerous deaths in the concentration camps, especially in the Kauthausen and Cswiecia camps. Thus, in Lager Mauthausen, 20 people died in a few days alone from Moravian Ostrava; moreover, I hear of numerous deaths affecting people from Prague, Brno, Pilsen, Beraun and elsewhere. I know that the cause of the nutritional difficulties and the rough temperature conditions can be sought. My request is based on the fact that the persons in sight cannot be regarded as convicted.
