14 25 May 1940, e.g. Hamburg-Langenhorn. St.S. 350/40. To Mr. Reichsminister Dr. G o e b b e l s , Berlin w8, Wilhelmplatz 8. Dear Minister of the Reich! Pür Your letter of 24 April the year with which you informed me of your decision to remain the Sudeten German Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague, I sincerely thank you. In this way, they have received the German language in Bohemia uni Moravia an atsserally significant cuiturpolitikal instrument. You will be able to understand that, on the basis of my political work in this area, the securing of the Sudeten German orchestra's livelihood was particularly important, since I was able to see again the unselfish use of these really rising musicians in their German art. These people have never been misled by the most difficult conditions and have remained faithful even after the takeover of power of their cause, although elsewhere they undoubtedly have other needs.
