30 Metzer Preies Journal v. 19. and 2o. 1l. 39. "A new situation in the Protectorate of Bohemia - 16 nC and Moravia. OLE teb MOROSOTE EEEEEEEE Amsterdam, l8.Nov. - The Dutch paper "Het Volk" publishes a study on the rallies that took place in the "protectorate" in Prague in particular. In view of the bad impression these rallies made not only in the Protectorate, but also abroad, the governor Mr. von Neurath called to himself President Dr. Hacha and explained to him that the rallages would not have a bad consequence for the arrested, but he had to promote a rally of loyalty in order to blur the impression. To this end, he proposed the following arrangement: 1. Revision of the borders in favour of Czech Republic, to Poland, Austria and Bavaria; 2. Conversion of the Protectorate into a republic dependent on Berlin; 3. A declaration of loyalty of this republic to Germany, declaration of war, at least symbolic, to France and England and position of a contingent of Czech troops for Germany. However, these proposals were rejected by Dr. Hacha. As a result of his "overtiredness" he had been asked to allow us to withdraw to his property in Lany, where he would be taken care not to be disturbed. The neutral sheet concluded that a new situation had arisen, the solution of which could not yet be foreseen. It seems as if one is afraid of the simple suppression of the protectorate, which one had thought of. However, there is little doubt that Hacha and his government are starting to do so.
