English Translation
fhl Prague, 8 July 1942. V e r m e r k : In summer l939, the Imperial Protector Freiherr v. Neurath repeatedly advised me to choose a castle or a house as a permanent summer stay in the vicinity of Prague. I have not used it so far, but only over the last two years about ten times over the weekend at the Jagdhaus Schwarzwald belonging to the castle Konopischt. With regard to the strict command of the leader of Obergrup since the assassination of Heydrich, that I may move only in the tank car and under escort protection in the public in future, I am more or less bound to my house Yorkstraße 11 like a prisoner. This condition does not contribute precisely to the maintenance of my working power. I would therefore now like to make use of the present offer of Freiherr v. Neurath and choose a summer apartment near Prague. In the village of Jungfern-Breshan, about 15 km from Prague, near the castle of Jung fern-Breschan, which is constantly inhabited by Mrs. Heydrich, there is a castle-like house (1706 built in Baroque style) with a beautiful park-like garden. As far as I know, this former possession of the emigrated Jew and furniture manufacturer Gersel has been transferred to the property of the empire. I have visited house and property today and found that it would be suitable for me as a summer apartment if 1. some repairs, painting and cleaning work are carried out in the house, 2. the furniture in the house is thus supplemented, the permanently furnished living rooms are created and 3. Kitchen requirements, necessary crockery as well as bedding etc. from existing Reichshalten would be procured. b.w.
