STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 2401, sig. 109-12/46
English Translation
The Dherland Councillor Kolin, June 1, 1941. Dear Secretary of State! After my return from the holiday I may ask you to take part in the "German Day" in Kolin on June 8, 1994l in person. The award in your personal appearance would mean a special strengthening to the still weak Germanism of my district and to me in my work and in particular to the Czech side. I would like to see the meaning of the German Day in that the last isolated German also feels connected to the Great German Reich and is at the same time given to the Czechs that the Germandom of the Kolin district has also become a fixed term. I should like to take the view that these political moments, to which the sequence of events is also tailored, justify the organisation of an event of this kind at this time, and allow me, Mr. Secretary of State, to ask you to take part personally. In order to push everything for one day, the events begin already in the early morning; the political emphasis of the day is laid on the morning hours. I would therefore very much welcome it if you could appear already to the military morning celebration. Heil H i t l e r ! Your very devoted r.M. C. S.C.
