Eing.: - 5 JUNE 1943 Dear Counsellor! Dear party comrade Giess, I have been repeatedly approached in various wishes even after my departure as a circle leader of party members. In very many cases, my knowledge of the contexts enabled me to show a favour to one or the other. In matters of housing procurement, the possibilities have become very confusing in recent times, so I have been holding back very strongly here. One case gives me reason to ask you, dear Par- teigenosse Giess, to look at the right in the area of your possibilities. In the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Labour, Dr. Karl-Wilhelm Helmer has been acting as the representative of the Reichsstelle Eisen und Metalle since the beginning of his life. Although Pg. Helmer is permanently resident in Berlin, he has received the relocation order on 1 June of the year. His current temporary apartment in Prague VII., Schillerstrasse 25, consists of two Zimmern. Dr. Helmer is married, his wife is expecting her third child in the next time. In addition, the house assistant is still accommodated in the two-room apartment. Now, during the last air raid on Dortmund, the apartment of the mother and the sister of Dr. Helmer was strongly moved into partnership, so that Dr.helmer is now forced to take his next relatives with him. Dr. Helmer is now trying to allocate a single family house with garden, which he would either buy or rent. At best a larger (6 to 7-room apartment in a villa or in a house with a garden would be considered. Since I am in this case of the need for a change of apartment $\8-178/43
