39 THE PRESIDENT OF THE STATE OF THE PROTECTORATE BÖHMEN AND MÄHREN Z.T 293/42. Prague, on 18 September 1942. of the Sigaisfehrestürs I n Feid p.otektor in Bohemia and Moravia. Eing.: 1 9. SEP. 1942 Dear Mr. State Secretary I do not wish to be concerned if I address you in the following matter: Seaman, who belongs to my personal circle of acquaintances, has drawn my attention to a certain woman Anna Pavelka, née Salus, residing in Prague-Michl, Taborer Strasse No. 745, who, since she is Jewish, is to be transported from Prague. Anna Pavalka is old - born in l874 - and sick and Mrs. Dr. Seemann therefore asks me, for reasons of humanity, to use me to ensure that in this case, exceptionally, the removal is withdrawn and that the first person is allowed to continue his stay in Prague. The Pavelka, who was baptized in the year 1896, was married to an Aryan, the state railway official Vinzenz Pavelska, and has two sons of him, both of whom stood as reserve officers on the front during the first World War and one of whom also received several war awards. Vinzenze Pavelca died in 1938. If he were still alive, since he was an Aryan, the orders concerning the transfer of the Jews to his wife would not be applied. Anna Pavelka should have left Prague with a transport a few days ago, but Dr. Gies was so kind with regard to mine in the intercession of Mrs. Dr. I should like to thank you, Mr Secretary of State, very much St. S.X B-249/42
