1 Speech by the State Secretary Franly ia Ostinetitog in f±23 Kraków on 24 June 1941. Mr. Governor General, gentlemen! First of all, I would like to thank you for your invitation to speak to you during a lecture evening of the Öst Institute on the Protectorate of Bohemia and Mihren. I gladly followed your invitation, Mr. General Governor, to speak in your government seat in Krakow. It is advantageous for the forthcoming construction work in the new Reich and in the New Europe, when the political bearers of such work in newly won areas keep in touch with foreign peoples and discuss emerging problems together. I say: Governor General, at the same time the Grü Reichsprotektors in Bohemia and Mihren, Neurath, and hope that we will soon be able to offer you a guest and perhaps also as a leader. I will now try to talk about the fundamentals of Bohemia and Mihrens to the Empire, from to the most recent history, then about the Protectorate of Bohemia, and Moravia, its structure and administration, and to give an outlook on the treatment of the Czech problem in the new Reich. In the political vocabulary of Europe there is a winged word, that is: "The Lord of Bohemia is the Lord of Europe". But it is not this function which is responsible for the last year's membership of the Bohemian Moravian territories.
